UFC Star Nick Diaz Arrested For Strangling A Woman And Breaking Her Hip While High On Cocaine And Then Fighting Police

34-year-old UFC fighter Nick Diaz was arrested in Las Vegas, for strangling and breaking a woman's hip in a domestic violence incident. The unnamed woman stated to police that she was body slammed and choked by Diaz. He has been charged with two counts of "domestic battery" "felony battery by strangulation" and "misdemeanor domestic battery." Diaz also attacked police officers at the Clark Country Detention Center, while high on drugs.

Diaz's representative, Matt Staudt Jr, paints another picture of the star's violent behavior. Staudt Jr took to social networking to defend the MMA star, labeling the woman, "The girl accusing him is the most deranged and insane I've met to date. She has been obsessed with and stalked Nick for maybe two years now. Suicide attempts, calls to his family from fake numbers, thousands of calls a day - yes thousands, showing up everywhere he goes following his story."

Staudt Jr also stated, "He changed his number to get away but Vegas is small and they crossed paths again. She left their interaction feeling some type of way yesterday and put in a fake report to get even and have him arrested, which she's threatened to do many times before as well. I can't even fully digest this whole thing because of how insane and wrong it is. If Nick's at fault it is because he has chosen again and again and again not to make a police report against her like I've advised profusely in the past when she has hit him or broke his phone or broke into his place or stolen things from him or threatened suicide, ect..."

Diaz, 34, was arrested by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department after an incident on Thursday evening, MMAJunkie reported.

He has been charged with felony domestic battery by strangulation, as well as misdemeanor domestic battery. Police were called to the home about 7.20pm local time and a source with knowledge of the case says 12 units in total were sent out.
