"Transformers" Refusing To Pay Medical Bills Of Injured Extra February 24. 2011
Transformers Paramount Pictures and Michael Bay, the team behind bringing "Transformers" to the big screen, have reneged on all public promises, to pay the medical bills of injured film extra, Gabriella Cedillo. The tragedy occurred in 2009. Michael Bay (center) The young, aspiring actress, was injured during a highway scene, when a cable came loose and smashed the windshield of her car, slicing through her forehead and cracking her skull. Cedillo was hospitalized for months, placed in a medical coma to reduce pressure on her brain. She is now undergoing rehabilitative care, but is paralyzed and in need of constant assistance. Gabriella Cedillo Paramount and Bay should be ashamed of themselves. A young woman's life has been tragically altered on their movie set, through no fault of her own. The "Transformers" film franchise has grossed over two billion dollars - certainly they can afford to pay Cedillo's medical bill.
