The FBI Is Congress' Frankenstein January 20. 2010
FBI Director Robert S. Mueller. Look at this grown man pouting! It's not a good look. It is apparent to anyone with basic common sense the FBI is the U.S. Congress' Frankenstein they have created, but cannot control. In congressional hearing after hearing, the crooked law enforcement agency that has thoroughly violated the privacy and rights of the American people and foreigners as well, received what amounts to a slap on the wrist. Then, the FBI goes right back to serious misconduct that tramples the U.S. Constitution. It has become a real joke that is undermining Congress' authority and name in the nation and the world. The FBI is supposed to answer to Congress, but it is a renegade, rogue agency, bilking the taxpayers for exorbitant funding, but at crunch time they routinely fail and people die or end up injured.Side Bar: I wonder if the wife of FBI Director Robert S. Democrats blast FBI for improperly obtaining phone records Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) ripped the FBI Wednesday after a report detailed that the bureau collected thousands of American phone records without proper authorization. The 306-page report by the Justice Department inspector general discloses that the FBI went through the phone records without the usual “exigent letters and other informal requests” to service providers. "This was not a matter of technical violations," Leahy said during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. "This was authorized at high levels within the FBI and continued for years." Leahy said no one is above the law — not even senators. “If one of us did something like this, we’d have to answer to it," he said. “There has to be accountability for what happened here.” ... |
