The FBI has been exposed for blackmailing former White House intern Monica Lewinsky, into turning against her lover, former U.S. President Bill Clinton, who is married to Hillary Clinton. Lewinsky infamously had an affair with Clinton in the White House, in what became the foundation for his impeachment.

In the new program “The Clinton Affair” Lewinsky discussed the FBI’s highly questionable behavior. The FBI forced her into a hotel room, interrogated her for 12-hours and threatened to prosecute Lewinsky and her mother, if she refused to help them against Clinton.

Lewinsky and her mother were facing 27-years in prison. Therefore, she decided to cooperate with the FBI against Clinton. The extramarital affair became a question posed to Clinton under oath and he lied in denying it. It was used to impeach Clinton, in a decision he went to court and had overturned.

The FBI’s conduct in the matter was absolutely disgraceful. Adultery is a sin, not a crime. Politicizing it went against the agency’s congressional instructions to not become a political tool. I do not agree with adultery, but as stated on this site previously, it is a private moral failing people should stop engaging in, not be criminally prosecuted for, as it is not illegal.
