Tamar Braxton

Reports out of Los Angeles indicate 43-year-old singer and reality star Tamar Braxton tried to commit suicide yesterday. Braxton was rushed to the hospital after being found unresponsive in her hotel room at the Ritz Carlton. Braxton was found by her Nigerian boyfriend, David Adefeso.

Adefeso called 911 and stated Braxton had been drinking and taken many prescription pills. He is of the belief Tamar tried to kill herself. In response to the press reports Tamar's publicist stated, "Tamar has had a very tough and emotional day - more information will be coming in the next few days. Please pray for her."

Things have gone from bad to worse for Tamar. She (and her then-husband) got involved with a group of Hollywood cultists, Kabbalah, as evidenced by the red string bracelet she wore, and it has destroyed her life in so many ways.

Tamar's second marriage to music executive Vincent Herbert was marred by violence and cheating (previously she was married to music producer Darrell Allamby from 2001-2003). After 9-years of marriage, she filed for divorce from Herbert in 2017 and it was made final in 2019. The couple have a 7-year-old son, Logan Vincent Herbert.

Vincent's subsidiary record label, Streamline Records, which signed Lady Gaga and boyband Mindless Behavior, collapsed into financial ruin. The couple's $10,000,000 mansion went into foreclosure. Herbert lost a lawsuit filed by, Sony Music, demanding the reimbursement of a $11,000,000 loan, which implicated Tamar as well. Herbert also lost a $380,000 lawsuit filed by LDNX Records.

Tamar was fired from her talk show "The Real" and replaced by others, despite the fact the program was her idea and she wrote the theme song. Their reality show "Tamar and Vince" was also cancelled. Tamar's music also began flopping and she lost her record deal, after the 2013 gold selling "Love and War" album and accompanying tour.

In trying to "keep up with the Joneses" the couple greatly overspent and lost so much. Failed business ventures also hit their finances very hard. Herbert ended up sick and in the hospital. Their marriage also disintegrated into a messy divorce. However, suicide is not the answer. Her family needs to help Tamar.
