November 15. 2021
Steven Bannon, the one time
adviser to former U.S. President Donald Trump, has been arrested
on two counts of contempt of Congress. Bannon defied
congressional subpoenas to appear in the legislature
to answer questions about his alleged role in the
January 6, 2021 Capitol riots, which resulted in
fatalities and endangered Congress and former Vice
President, Mike Pence.
Today, Bannon
surrendered to the FBI on the charges. If convicted
of the charges, Bannon could face 2-years in prison.
The arrest of Bannon is the FBI and congressional
democrats way of trying to scupper Trump running for
office again in the 2024 presidential election.
Democrats and the FBI are targeting people in
Trump's circle.
Bannon stated upon his arrest, "This
is gonna be the misdemeanor from hell for Merrick
Garland, Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden. Joe Biden
ordered Merrick Garland to prosecute me from the
White House lawn when he got off Marine One. And
we're gonna go on the offense. We're tired of
playing defense. We're gonna go on the offense on
this and standby." Bannon stated Trump ordered him
not to cooperate, citing "executive privilege" as
the reason for not doing so.
