Stacey Dash Arrested For Domestic Violence After Her
Husband Chokes Her For Pushing His Daughter During
Argument (Audio)October 1. 2019
Hollywood actress turned Fox News contributor, Stacey Dash, 52,
was arrested for domestic violence in Florida this past weekend.
Dash, her husband Jeffrey Marty, and his three underage kids, got into a
heated
argument. During the course of the argument, one of Marty's kids
violated Dash's personal space by "getting in her face." Dash pushed
the teenager. This led to Marty putting Dash in a chokehold.
A startled and shaken Dash called 911 to
report the incident and branded his children "awful" and
"unruly." However, when police arrived, they saw
scratches on her husband's arms and decided to take her
into custody. Dash stated there were red marks on her
neck from being choked by Marty.
As Dash has not worked since 2016, she
filed for indigent status in seeking a public defender
attorney to represent her in the criminal case, which is
her first arrest. Dash's husband has stated to the court
that he does not wish to press charges against her over
the incident.
Dash should have walked away when her
stepdaughter violated her personal space. She should not
have pushed her during the argument. Marty should not
have placed Dash in a chokehold. He too should have been
arrested over the incident. It would have cost him his
law license if the case went all the way to trial and
his alleged acts were proven. This is Dash's
fourth marriage and she has been a victim of domestic
violence in one of her previous marriages.
