Rihanna Subpoenaed In Chris Brown Case

May 28. 2009

Rihanna has been subpoenaed to court on June 22, 2009 to testify in the assault case against her boyfriend, Sony singer, Chris Brown , that stemmed from her attacking him over a text message from a woman.

Curiously, the judge has denied Brown's lawyer's request for the name of the LAPD officer that leaked the photo of a battered Rihanna to TMZ, for tens of thousands of dollars.

Why would the judge deny said motion. It gives the appearance of a cover-up, which is never in the best interest of justice. If one is unethical and bold enough to sell a photo of the subject of a domestic violence crime case, said person should face public scrutiny for their actions.

"The D.A. has advised me that she will be subpoenaed [to testify]," Etra told media gathered outside the courtroom on Thursday (May 28), according to People.com. "She absolutely will comply," Etra said, adding that his client would be subject to cross-examination by Brown's lawyer...
