Atlanta rapper, Gunna, is being threatened and trolled by select people in the industry, who have branded him a snitch for admitting the YSL record label is actually a gang. After making the admission in court, Gunna, was free to go. If Gunna had refused to make the declaration, he would have been facing at least 20-years in prison.

The black community struggles under the "no snitch" motto, which prohibits people from cooperating with police or even reporting crime. As a result, many black people, particularly males, are doing long stretches in prison for their crimes and that of others, due to their refusal to snitch.

Gunna was facing losing at least 20-years of his life to federal prison under a misguided sense of loyalty, regarding the crimes of a gang he indicated he was not even running. He was in prison for six-months pending trial, and going through withdrawal from drugs and alcohol. He was experiencing psychological difficulties in grappling with the thought of losing his money and spending at least two decades in prison, over 50 murders and assorted assaults, he maintains he did not commit (Young Thug And His Rap Record Label YSL Killed Over 50 People). Therefore, he took the plea deal.
