Rapper DMX In A Vegetative State With No Brain Activity After Heart Attack And Lung Failure Due To Suspected Drug Overdose (Video)

Rapper and actor, DMX, birth name Earl Simmons, aged 50, is currently in a vegetative coma at the White Plains Hospital in New York, after suffering a massive heart attack at his home on April 2, 2021. The heart attack has left him completely incapacitated.

Simmons' lawyer, Murray Richman, stated to the press the heart attack was triggered by a drug overdose and DMX is in "grave condition" and is "surrounded by family." DMX has an ex-wife Tashera Simmons and 15 kids.

For years DMX has struggled with drug addiction. In 2008, DMX was arrested outside my local Walmart in Miami, whilst high on drugs. It was his sixth arrest of the year. In a separate incident in 2016, DMX overdosed at a hotel in New York and was revived by the drug Narcan, then rushed to a local hospital.

Richman revealed DMX is now on life support with very little brain activity. Richman told PIX11 News in New York that DMX was taken off life support, but retracted his statements shortly after. The rapper has a very poor prognosis due to the heart attacking having left his brain deprived of oxygen for 30-minutes. Then, DMX's former manager Nakia Walker stated he has "heart and lung failure with no brain activity" as stated on "the Breakfast Club" radio show.

I tell people to avoid Hollywood like the plague, as it really is a terrible industry full of debauchery and destruction. Hollywood has destroyed men, women and children. There are drugs everywhere in Hollywood, to the point some entertainers choose to leave Los Angeles and raise their families in other U.S. states, just to get away from the drug addiction and promiscuous sex that has ruined so many lives.

Hollywood has so much troubling behavior in abundance, it will create or worsen the worst vices in people, especially those who are vulnerable or broken (and DMX was broken from traumas he went through as a teen). Hollywood fuelled DMX's addictions and ruined his marriage. Things really began to go downhill for him.

Those who return to Hollywood to make music, films and television shows, have to be vigilant that they do not slip back into addiction whilst out there or hang out with the folks who revel in drug use and debauched sex. As the Word says, "Bad company ruins good morals." Peer pressure is no joke.

For years I've seen the peer pressure in Hollywood ruin people who got involved in all sorts of misconduct they otherwise would not have if they were not in the entertainment industry. The fame and money are not worth your life. So many in Hollywood are dying off and at a rapid rate. So many industry stars and executives have died over the past decade (way more than usual).

In closing, what has occurred regarding DMX is a very sad story. I'm very sorry this has happened to DMX. At times he seemed so helpless. He had his well-publicized struggles with addiction, but at the end of the day people wanted him to recover. These situations devastate families, as addiction can claim lives if not fully treated via rehab, then on an outpatient basis in working to keep one's sobriety.

Murray Richman, DMX’s attorney, confirmed to PIX11 News’ Rob Hoell that he was on life support Saturday evening. The attorney originally said the rapper, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was off life support, but later told PIX11 News that he “has been misinformed and he has misspoken” and apologized.

Richman, who’s worked with DMX for over 25 years, said the rapper was in the hospital as a result of a heart attack. He could not confirm that it had been induced by a drug overdose. Richman said DMX was in “grave condition” and “surrounded by family.”

“I’m very sad about it, extremely sad. He’s like my son,” Richman said. “He’s just a tremendous person, tremendous entertainer, tremendous human being. And so much to offer, so much to say. Not the run-of-the-mill rapper. A person of great depth.”...
