Rapper Cardi B Says She Is Not A Role Model

After facing significant backlash in the press
and online, over her revelation that she used to drug and rob
men, stripper-turned-rapper, Cardi B, is stating to the public
that she is not a role model (Rapper Cardi B Is Under Fire For Admission She Used To Drug And Rob Men).
In an item posted to her Twitter.com social
networking page last week, Cardi B stated, "For these past two
years I been watching what I say and I haven't been myself. I
been feeling trap and sad cause it's not ME but everybody tell
me to be it for me to be this "rolemodel" and guess what? People
still spit my past right in my face so for now imma be my old
self again."
Cardi B must accept the fact that because she is
in the public eye she will have to face a greater level of
accountability for what she says and does in her career (and
personal life). Audiences can be quite impressionable and you
don't want to lead them down the wrong path, as that will be on
your hands and soul (just like it is for everyone else in the
public eye or those with any influence). Do not send out the
wrong message. That goes for all celebrities and leaders. Let
your legacy be a positive one.
