Under the Trump Administration, the U.S. government
is clamping down on drug dealing rappers. Over the past year rappers
such as Tekashi, Yung Thug, Rich Homie Quan, Offset and Ty Dolla
Sign, among others, have been arrested on serious felony drug

pending trial and they each face many years in prison if convicted
on the charges.
The rapper Benzino, real name Raymond Scott, who
founded the Source magazine, and went on to become a reality star on
“Love And Hip Hop Atlanta” was arrested and charged with felony and
misdemeanor drug possession. A search of Benzino’s Atlanta apartment
turned up MDMA pills, marijuana and THC oil gummies. The case is
scheduled to go to trial this week.
