R. Allen Stanford Wants Money For Legal Fees

The government has structured the case against fraudster R. Allen Stanford, seizing everything, to make sure he does not have the finest lawyers money can buy available to him, in another attempt to buy his way out of trouble. With all his money seized, he cannot afford the type of legal representation that he desires.

Therefore, he is demanding the U.S. government release $10,000,000 of the stolen ponzi money to pay for his legal representation. He does not deserve a dime after the financial crimes he's committed that have altered so many people's lives.

Claims Of Innocence

Stanford maintains his innocence, but I do not believe him based on the evidence available in the public domain. If I were the prosecutor in the R. Allen Stanford case, I'd ask one question, "If you are as innocent as you claim, where is the money?" The U.S. government has only found $900 million of $8 billion in investor deposits.

Pull a Johnny Cochran on him and turn it into a rhyme, "This is not funny, where is the money?"
