Protestors stormed the U.S. Capitol building today during the confirming of president-elect Joe Biden. Protestors scaled the walls and rushed into the building, while carrying flags and weapons. It was an absolute security breach that sent lawmakers scrambling for cover.

Protestors storm the Capitol with Congress present

Police fired tear gas in attempts at stopping the protestors who continued to advance into the deepest chambers of the building. A female protestor was shot and killed by security during the incident. She was pronounced dead at the hospital. After the protestors were removed and order restored, Congress resumed the confirmation hearings that are currently ongoing.
