American President Barack Obama (Getty) U.S. President Barack Obama is in London today, with a 500 person entourage, to attend the G20 summit on global finances. In Britain, his name is alternatively pronounced "Obamer" (names ending in the letter "a" often get an "er" added).
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown The reception has been quite decent, but somewhat hostile on certain fronts, due to people angry over former President George W. Bush’s reckless conduct that wrecked several world economies.
George W. Bush Once again, overspending is not the solution to this gripping crisis. Thrift and change needs to begin with Wall Street/Corporate America, where the crisis was born. Greed and corruption created this mess and some fundamentals of the aforementioned financial entities must go, replaced with new ones, not easily foiled, flouted and tainted, to gouge and rip others off. |
