Police Raid The Migos Tour Bus, Arrest Three And Seize 420 Pounds Of Marijuana And Illegally Obtained Pharmaceutical Drugs (Opioids) April 10. 2018
The Migos The Atlanta rap group the Migos are famous for making songs that encourage drug use such as "Bad and Boujee" and "Stir Fry" which are about preparing and distributing illegal drugs. Life is imitating art, as police in North Carolina, raided their tour bus, when the members where not present, due to the strong smell of drugs coming from the vehicle. When police entered the tour bus as it departed after the Migos show at Appalachian State University, authorities found "420 grams of marijuana, 26 ounces of codeine and Xanax pills." Three members of the Migos entourage were arrested during the raid (Dominic Kevin Spigner, 26, of Smyrna; Jharon Ahmad Murphy, 26, of Snellville; and Daryl Irvon McPherson, 25, of Cleveland, Ohio). Police stated they are investigating the matter and additional charges are possible. The Migos have past arrests for a variety of criminal offenses such as battery, inciting a riot, gang activity, drug and weapons possession. I recently read some of the Migos' lyrics and their lyrical content does not set a good example for young audiences, who flock to their shows. Judging by social networking, even kids are listening to the Migos online and on the radio, which is alarming. Artists like the Migos, Future and O.T. Genasis, among others, promote dangerous illegal drug use and the abuse of pharmaceutical drugs like Xanax to get high, as detailed in their songs and it is helping to fuel the deadly drug epidemic that is damaging kids and adults in America and Britain. Recently, popular social networking rapper Lil Peep died of a massive drug overdose, from abusing Xanax and illegal drugs.
