Not content with bombing in America, Paris Hilton has officially flopped in Britain as well. Her new reality show "British Best Friend" tanked in the ratings, as Britain gave the socialite the thumbs down.

She was in Britain searching for a best friend, claiming she is tired of Americans and defamed women in Los Angeles branding them all "sluts." Takes one to know one Paris.

In other news, Paris Hilton, proving she is not up to speed on current events, stated the Prime Minister of Britain is Gordon Ramsay. This was incorrect. Gordon Ramsay is a celebrity chef. Gordon Brown is the Prime Minister.

One is blonde, the other brunette. One sleeps through boring food and the other sleeps through boring speeches. Big difference!

By day she was seen on TV shows such as GMTV and Loose Women, by night she was out partying hard.

The aim, to draw attention to her ITV2 reality show Paris Hilton's British Best Friend.

Alas, it appears to have done little to bring in the viewers which attracted just 428,000 - 21,000 less than an episode of American Idol which was shown on the same channel an hour before…

Paris names Gordon Ramsay as British PM

After explaining she is desperate to find a UK pal because she "loves Britain" and "London is her favourite city in the world", the 27-year-old socialite was asked who the Prime Minister of the country was.

Rather than replying 'Gordon Brown', Paris said: "It's Gordon ... Gordon Ramsay?"…

However, later she slipped up again when she was asked about UK county Essex, to which she replied: "What’s that?"…

The star has previously claimed she wants to find a pal from the country, as she is bored of American women, claiming: "The girls in Los Angeles are such sluts."…

She said: "I think a lot of people have seen me on The Simple Life and think I'm a spoilt airhead. But I was playing a character."
