Obama Increases Government Spending Again

I am of the belief President Barack Obama is getting some very bad advice on his spending policies. I’m all for helping homeowners stay in their homes, giving lower income and middle class tax cuts and slightly raising taxes on the rich, to pay for new initiatives to offset the extra spending, but too much frivolity is included in the stimulus bill and proposed ones, thanks to whimsical Democrats like Nancy Pelosi and not enough job creation, as mentioned previously

I kept stressing job creation is important and was to be the primary goal for a reason. The government has taken on all this other stuff and created a big mess. Some members of Congress have a case of ADD with the stimulus bill, experiencing trouble focusing. They have derailed the stimulus with unnecessary items, hence economists stating this week, what I wrote several weeks ago, "The stimulus might create fewer US jobs than intended."

The government is going about this all wrong, as they are so distracted and not on the same page. Other nations need not look to it as a blueprint, as it is going to fail on its current course.

Economists: Stimulus Might Create Fewer US Jobs Than Intended

10 March 2009 - A group of economists has told Democrats in Congress on Tuesday that it might take longer for the recently-passed $787 billion stimulus plan to generate the number of jobs lawmakers and President Barack Obama hoped it would.

Lawmakers Weigh Need for Second Stimulus to Spur Job Growth

Washington -- The ink is barely dry on the $787 billion economic stimulus package enacted by Congress, and talk is already beginning on Capitol Hill of the need for a second measure to spur job growth.
