Yesterday, Nicki Minaj spoke about being confronted by rival rapper Cardi B at New York Fashion Week, in reference to an incident that descended into violence. Cardi B threw her shoe at Minaj, then charged at the rapper. However, Cardi B was assaulted by Minaj’s friend and reality star Rah Ali. Cardi left the event with a pronounced knot on her forehead. The incident was all over social networking, the blogs and entertainment news shows.

Minaj stated of the fracas, “For people who don’t know, Rah Ali beat Cardi’s as* really bad. You went home and told people that security hit you. We told Rah not to say anything for legal reasons.” There is a level of jealousy between the two women that is mostly down to Minaj’s resentment towards Cardi B, over her fast rise in rap music. Minaj sees Cardi as competition who could replace her. Hence the unhealthy fighting. While social networking want to see them duke it out, violence is not going to solve anything. Maybe they should have a boxing match.
