Nia Long Issues Statement Regarding Ime Udoka Cheating Scandal

Hollywood actress, Nia Long, 51, and her partner of 11-years, Ime Udoka, 45, are in the middle of a scandal thanks to his cheating. Nia and Ime have a song together. She has a child from a previous relationship.

Portland born, Udoka, is a former basketball player turned coach for the NBA team, the Boston Celtics, who previously played for the Nigerian national team. Ime has been caught cheating on Nia with one of his coworkers at the Celtics, who was an assistant that even made travel arrangements for the couple.

Items in the press state the cheating was caught on a Ringdoor Bell camera. It was a consensual affair that has ruined his life, as the Celtics have suspended him for 1-year, with some stating they are not expecting he will be reinstated.

Nia stated, "The outpouring love and support from family, friends and the community during this difficult time means so much to me. I ask that my privacy be respected as I process the recent events. Above all, I am a mother and will continue to focus on my children."

Nia and Ime have been engaged for 7-years. He should have married her long ago. So many other men would have married her, yet Ime clearly took her for granted, as evidence by his cheating.

Many on social networking slammed Ime for his conduct towards Nia. His name is gone and for what. Nia is well-liked and beautiful. She has her own money and career. What more could he have wanted. However, that's the problem with famous men, there are selfish women throwing themselves at them, and they sleep with bimbos chasing.

What some famous men don't realize, when other women see you treating your girlfriend or wife badly, via cheating or being abusive, they are not going to want to deal with you. What you will get is the gold diggers who want your money and fame to make them rich and famous. As soon as the gold digger finds something better, she will dump you (and may leave you with a sexually transmitted disease, as has happened so many times). You throw away a good relationship and mess up your life over a person who does not love you.

I don't know why famous men do not accept the fact they are truly risking it all when they cheat on their girlfriend and especially a spouse. Ime has broken up his family over an affair that has cost him his long-term partner (and likely full custody as she is leaving him), his job and reputation.

It can't be worth it. Not to mention, when you go around cheating and hurting others like this, it comes back to you, and often in ways you don't expect. You can't ruin someone else's life and expect that it won't come back to you. That's not the way things work. You reap what you sow. It is a divine principle that goes for everyone.
