New York Times To Charge To Read Site March 17. 2011
The award winning New York Times newspaper, has announced their website will no longer be free in any measure, as they will begin charging the public to read articles online or by mobile phone. Aww, I'm gonna miss reading their paper (LOL). Bloggers have put some newspapers and magazines out of business. People increasing rely on blogs for news, rather than actual newspapers. This prompted major papers to open their own blogs, but it just wasn't the same, as it has been too corporate to fit in the blog structure. Newspapers and magazines will have to rely on ad revenues online to compensate and compete. Technology has changed the newspaper and magazine game and they have to adapt. Look at the bright side. It's not as bad as what Napster did to record stores. |
