U.S. House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, has made a
move to protect her fellow Democrat, former vice president,
Joe Biden, from having to debate president Donald Trump, in
the 2020 presidential election. Pelosi stated, "I don't
think there should be any debates. I wouldn't legitimize a
conversation with him, nor a debate in terms of the
presidency of the United States."
Biden is suffering from dementia, which makes him
very forgetful and confused. A number of articles have been written
in the mainstream press and items posted on social networking,
illustrating Biden's very pronounced struggle with dementia.

Trump is poised to pounce on Biden during
the debate, having ascertained his rival's Achilles heel
(dementia). Biden is in a brain fog from dementia. Hence,
Pelosi trying to prevent the debates, which are a staple in
American politics.
Pelosi does not want Biden making disastrous,
befuddled comments during the heated presidential debates and
becoming the brunt of heavy criticism, mockery and memes online. If
the debates go significantly wrong for Biden, it would damage his
presidential campaign.

Nancy Pelosi isn't doing Joe Biden any favors in the debate
over debates
Updated 2:24 PM ET, Thu August 27, 2020 - (CNN)In
her weekly press briefing on Thursday, Speaker Nancy Pelosi made
some news. "I don't think there should be any debates," she said of
the presidential election fight between President Donald Trump and
former Vice President Joe Biden. "I wouldn't legitimize a
conversation with him, nor a debate in terms of the presidency of
the United States."
Pelosi was offering solely her personal opinion. She
acknowledged that "the Biden campaign thinks in a different way
about this." And Biden himself quickly made clear that his plan was
to participate in the three general election debates sanctioned by
the bipartisan Commission on Presidential Debates. "As long as the
commission continues down the straight and narrow as they have, I'm
going to debate him," Biden told NBC's Andrea Mitchell.
Despite Biden's quick denial of Pelosi's no-debates
proposal, there's no question that the speaker just handed Trump's
campaign more fodder to make its case that the former vice president
is hiding from the public -- and the President.
