[ARTICLE BACKGROUND: This is a follow up to the boycott I called for last year against Molina Healthcare (I Do Not Recommend Using Molina Healthcare Who Are Cutting Corners And Killing Patients In The Process and BOYCOTT: Molina Healthcare Stock Downgraded And CEO Sells 15,000 Stocks Cashing Out $1,000,000 and Remember To Switch From Molina Healthcare This Enrollment Period and Molina Healthcare Posts $612 Million In Losses, Loses Two Big Contracts And A Lawsuit Against The Government and Molina Healthcare Hit With Class Action Lawsuits For Deceiving Shareholders In Lying About The Financial State Of The Company Then Losing Nearly $1 Billion Dollars and Molina Healthcare Sued In Class Action Lawsuit For Stealing Pay From Doctors].

Another class action lawsuit is being filed against Molina Healthcare. The latest lawsuit is for violating the privacy of customers. Recently, cyber security researcher, Brian Krebs, released a report revealing, "Molina Healthcare medical claims records were publicly accessible on its website."

This means hackers were able to access the medical files of Molina Healthcare customers, via the company's website, which has weak security. Attorneys are working on a class action lawsuit against Molina Healthcare for these privacy breeches, which violate U.S. government's HIPAA laws that regulates the protection of patients' private medical files.

Did Molina compromise your privacy?

If you are a patient at Molina Healthcare and believe the privacy of your medical records may have been compromised, you may contact us, for a free consultation, by calling 866-981-4800 or completing the contact form. Brian Krebs, a cybersecurity researcher, reported on May 25, 2017 that Molina Healthcare medical claims records were publicly accessible on its website. Patients were, according to Krebs, sent hyperlinks to access their claims, with URLs ending with ‘ClaimID’ followed by a number, “e.g. claimID=123456789.”

By altering the number at the end, a malicious actor could have gained access to every single medical claim on Molina Healthcare’s system, according to Krebs. No username or password was required to access these medical claims. The information made available on the website, Krebs says, included: name, address, date of birth, medical procedure codes, and any prescribed medication.
