Mariah Carey Labeled Crazy For Leaving Her Christmas Tree And Decorations Up Year Round

Troubled 48-year-old singer Mariah Carey is being labeled "crazy" on social networking over an admission that she leaves her Christmas tree and decorations up year round. This week, Carey was interviewed on the show "Lorraine" and made the alarming admission. In an article entitled "Mariah Carey stuns fans with confession she keeps her Christmas tree up ALL year as she brings her Xmas tour to the UK"  the Daily Mail reported the singer, "left fans gobsmacked when she admitted to keeping her Christmas decorations up all year round."

Many people online slammed Carey's conduct. However, some of Carey's fans made excuses for it. Here's the problem. Carey is mentally ill. She has been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. It is not wise to encourage mentally ill people to live in such a fantasy, pardon the pun. It is mentally unhealthy for Carey to be so disconnected from reality and to take her children along for the ride, as it will destroy their mental health as well.

If a person is developing Alzheimer's or sustains a head injury or is admitted for psychiatric care, as Carey was a few times regarding the latter, it is standard medical procedure for doctors to ask the patient questions such as the date, their date of birth and their full name, among other items, to check for mental acuity. If the patient gives the wrong answers, the doctor will assume some type of damage has occurred.

If the patient thinks it is Christmas, when the date is actually June 4, the doctor will assume there is a problem. Much like the story regarding Carey preparing her 6-year-old twins for dinner with Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston, who died years ago. Carey's mental health is severely damaged. Carey's children need to be protected, because they will become mentally ill in no time flat in that environment.

Carey's fans and also the people around her need to stop encouraging eccentric, fantasy type behavior from the singer. They are not enabling her to cope with reality. They are enabling her in living a lie. Carey's mind is clearly regressing to what it deems are better times and a safe place. Better times for Carey was when her friends Jackson and Houston were alive and her career was in a better place. A safe, happy place for Carey is Christmas, due to her hit song "All I Want For Christmas" experiencing renewed popularity during the holidays, which gives her opportunities to perform it.

However, Carey has to face facts. Some troubling things have happened in her life and some of it through her own poor decisions. She must be an adult and face her problems head on. She is a mother and has to be responsible. She can't quit reality whenever she feels like. Her children need structure, stability and a mother rooted in reality.

Queen of Christmas! Mariah Carey stunned fans with confession on Monday's Lorraine as she revealed she keeps her Christmas tree up ALL year as she gears up for her Xmas tour to the UK. 'I just want to experience Christmas, I love the holidays, what can I say?' Mariah told the presenter. 'I try not to listen to [All I Want For Christmas] before Christmas, but the other day I decided to listen to it just for laughs. I thought – this is something.'

The mother-of-two revealed her love of Christmas is infectious, with her six-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe talk about it months ahead of the big day. She elaborated: 'The twins get it. I try not to force it on them. But they start talking about Christmas months and months in advance.
