Hollywood actress Lori Loughlin and her
husband Mossimo Giannulli are fighting the new charges
the U.S. government has filed against them in the
college admissions scandal. The couple paid a $500,000
bribe to get their daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella
Rose into the University of Southern California.
They even had fraudulent rowing pics
taken of their daughter, Olivia Jade, to get her an
unearned spot on the crew team, as her entry into the
University of Southern California. The government
offered the couple a plead deal, but as it includes jail
time, they rejected it.
The government has a significant amount
of evidence. It rejecting the plea deal, they are
risking significant prison time, especially in the event
the government decides to make an example of them for
refusing the offer. In not accepting the plea deal, they
are giving government lawyers more work to do, which
means more money and man-hours spent on the case. That
will only serve to anger the government and spell
trouble for Loughlin and Giannulli.
