Former Betty Ford Clinic worker, Dawn Holland, was paid off by Lindsay Lohan's family, not to press charges or cooperate with authorities, after the disgraced actress physically attacked her for attempting to administer a lawful breathalyzer test. Lohan had been drinking in rehab and freaked out when they discovered her violation of the facility's rules.

Rather than play it cool and behave like a rational adult, Lohan threw a phone at Holland and grabbed her by the arm in a threatening manner, as she tried to intimidate the staff member into not performing the sobriety test. Holland has agreed to accept the payoff, which is weakening the police's case.

Holland should have refused to accept the money on principle, as Lohan is going to lash out again, engaging in more psychotic violence (hopefully not behind the wheel of a vehicle) and it could turn deadly for an innocent person.
