The mess and side show that is disgraced Hollywood actress, Lindsay Lohan's life, continues to unravel. Lohan's parents made appearances on television shows this week, giving conflicting reports about her history and well-being. 

Lohan's father was more candid, revealing what the public already knew - Lindsay has been in rehab four times. However, her mother, Dina Lohan, contentiously insisted on "The Today Show" with Matt Lauer that Lindsay only had two stints in rehab. 

Dina, much like, Lindsay, is a pathological liar. She came close to pulling a Tom Cruise on Lauer, growing incensed at the morning talk show host, accurately citing public record, regarding her daughter's dishonorable conduct in not taking rehab seriously. 

An early release from rehab, having the 90-day program for her benefit, only serves to hurt Lindsay, who needs all the help and time away from Hollywood she can get. Judge Revel, who has recused herself from the case, was right to sentence Lohan to 90-days in jail and 90-days in rehab for substance abuse, DUIs and repeated probation violations. 

It would have amounted to 6-months away from Hollywood's destructive drug and alcohol scene, which has demolished Lindsay's life and fortune. A person struggling with drug and alcohol abuse can make many positive changes in that 6-month frame of time, developing new, lasting, positive habits.
