Justin Bieber Comes Clean About Drug Use Confirming Previous Site Claims

This week 25-year-old Bieber posted a long item on his Instagram page detailing his struggles with hardcore drugs, which he stated he began using at age 19. Bieber stated, “I started doing pretty heavy drugs at age 19 and abused all of my relationship. I became resentful, disrespectful to women, and angry. I became distant to everyone who loved me, and I was hiding behind, a shell of the person that I had become. I felt like I could never turn it around. It's taken me years to bounce back from all of these terrible decisions, fix broken relationships, and change relationship habits. Luckily God blessed me with extraordinary people who love me for me...”

Previously, I chastised Bieber in articles for his poor treatment of former girlfriend, Selena Gomez. He repeatedly cheated on her, kept breaking up with her and was not there for her when she was very sick with Lupus and serious kidney problems that necessitated a transplant. When she heard of Bieber’s surprise courthouse wedding to model, Hailey Bieber, Selena was devastated. It sent her on another downward spiral. She quickly checked herself into a mental health clinic for help in coping with the devastating blow.

I think Bieber could have done things much differently regarding Selena. He should have been honest with her years prior and not strung her along as he did for quite a while. I got the impression she thought he was going to marry her one day. Therefore, that type of shock from his sudden wedding to Hailey, really broke her heart. Men and women shouldn’t treat each other that way. In as much as I think Bieber’s found his match with Hailey, he still should have handled the situation with Selena better.

Fame can be quite horrible. It depends on the type you have, regarding whether it will be a blessing or a burden. I love music. I love to write it and record it. I like old school musicians like Aretha Franklin, Luther Vandross, Journey and Steve Perry, among others. It’s better to be musically gifted and commercially successful, but still enjoy a private life. Franklin and Vandross had that while they were alive. Journey and Perry, among others, have that now.

However, given the characteristics of Bieber’s fame, which he began as a teen heartthrob, having a private life would be difficult (but achievable). The problem is he ended up in the wrong Hollywood circles at times and it damaged him. Bieber’s fans weren’t the problem. Hollywood has been the problem. The fans support him, but certain people in Hollywood exploited and brought him down. Fame ain’t for everyone.
