Judge Justly Sentences Lindsay Lohan To 90 Days In Jail July 6. 2010
Fallen Hollywood actress, Lindsay Lohan, was sentenced to 90 days in jail by Los Angeles Judge, Marsha Ravel, for repeatedly violating her probation without remorse and failing to follow the Court's orders, regarding attending alcohol education classes. Lohan initially smirked during the hearing, believing she had gotten away with the violations, when Judge Ravel declined to have a SCRAM report admitted into the proceedings, illustrating the one time actress had violated court orders again last month, by consuming alcohol at the MTV Awards. However, the judge did acknowledge the company's contribution to the case and out of nowhere, sentenced Lohan to jail. Astonished, Lohan broke down in tears and repeatedly questioned her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, demanding to know what was going on. She was clearly in disbelief, believing herself above the law and exempt from accountability.

She repeatedly disobeyed what she was formally ordered to do. She provoked public anger on website after website, with scores of people writing in to complain, if they had done the same, they would be jailed. Judge Ravel's sentence was fair and moderate. Like Judge Sauer, who sentenced Lohan's fellow troublemaker, Paris Hilton, to one month in jail in 2007, she has brought respect to the Court in the world press.
Lohan's lawyer was clearly embarrassed at the hearing's result, but Lindsay did not give her much to work with, repeatedly disobeying the judge's orders Stars that behave badly, whilst going around showing off about dodging jail, cause great offense to the public and is not a good look. It is important the populace has confidence in the fairness and equity of the justice system, otherwise it will undermine the entire judicial process. Other entertainers have battled drug and alcohol issues for years, yet did their dirt indoors. This is not to condone drug use and alcohol abuse, but why do some celebrities like Lohan, feel the need to take their substance abuse issues outside and wreak havoc on an innocent, unsuspecting public. Her misconduct has caused injury to innocent people. When she is drunk or high, she becomes crazed and violent.
Lohan has repeatedly illustrated she is not rehabilitated, showing no remorse for her conduct or gratitude for the opportunities she has been given to start anew. She also continues to engage in acts of criminal theft and felonious financial fraud. She has defrauded many individuals and corporations out of valuable merchandise, to the tune of millions. Today, Lohan was again served legal papers, for defrauding another company. She swindled a boutique out of $17,000 in clothing and jewelry, committing premeditated fraud in stating her business manager would remit payment. She never did. TMZ poll Lindsay needs to grow up and accept responsibility for her actions. She is a FORMER child star. She is now a full grown adult. Lohan needs to stop causing injury to innocent members of the public, such as running over the foot of an innocent bystander, while embarking on a wild car chase and punching people in the face in several well-documented incidents. Lohan needs to stop breaking the law and making a mockery of the Court. Learn to live sober and within your means. Prior to today's hearing, Lohan was grumbling about the judge in a placed item on TMZ, stating she clearly hates her. What she hoped to accomplish with said leak, it a mystery to most, considering Lohan has committed numerous crimes. Rather than entertainment, getting negative headlines has become Lohan's career, which is very sad and unenviable. Of course, in Lindsay's mind she is Audrey Hepburn. Cocaine is such a cruel drug that plays terrible tricks on people. |
