Journalist Illegally Taken Off Diverted Plane Sparking Global Outcry

There is public outcry over the kidnapping of Belarusian journalist and activist, Roman Protasevich. He was on Ryanair flight 4978 from Greece to Lithuania, when a questionable and still unproven security alert was made, which diverted the plane. A bomb threat was phoned in which diverted the flight to Minsk, Belarus.

Protasevich, who is an opposition activist, was illegally removed from the plane and placed under arrest. He is now eligible for the death penalty in Belarus, over opposing the sitting government via his words and articles. Press outlets worldwide are stating Belarus President, Alexander Lukashenko, is responsible for the plane being diverted and Protasevich being arrested.

It's amazing and alarming how some in this world get worked up over what others write. It is quite unbalanced. Some people have irrationally tried to kill others over the written word, which is completely criminal. Freedom of speech and expression is a basic human right under international laws. Some refuse to accept that and it is very unbecoming and illegal.
