With the tremendous success of the Jamaican athletics program, breeding such sprint stars as Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake, Warren Weir, Michael Frater, Nesta Carter, Asafa Powell and Shelly Ann Fraser-Pryce, to name a few, the government wants to host a Diamond League track and field meet on the island.

In light of Jamaica's contributions to the sport, it would be fitting, not to mention, fun. The Jamaican government has stated retrofitting would need to be undertaken on the national stadium, but it could be done. There would also be no shortage of local volunteers to help with the event.
