British comedian, Ricky Gervais, was shocked at the abuse he received backstage at the Golden Globe Awards, held this past weekend. The actor made a series of jokes about Hollywood stars that upset them. He even disappeared for an hour during the telecast, due to what transpired backstage.

His most accurate barb came via stating Scientology's male stars are closeted homosexuals, "Also not nominated, I Love You Phillip Morris, with Ewan McGregor and Jim Carrey, two heterosexual actors pretending to be gay — the complete opposite of some famous Scientologists then. My lawyers helped me the wording of that joke.” But they are gay. He didn't lie.

Gervais was making reference to married Scientology actors Tom Cruise, John Travolta and Will Smith, who've all been outed in the press as gay men. A number of tell-alls have been done in this regard and some with photographic evidence. Later in the show, homosexual actor, Robert Downey Jr. slammed Gervais for his jokes. 

Look at the vile, defamatory things Hollywood writes about Christians, Muslims and minorities on a daily basis, for television shows and film. They treat people so viciously, but expect others to be mindful of their feelings and rights. What kind of imbalance is that. Who more than Hollywood insults, stereotypes and vilifies people. Yet, when they get a mild dose of their own medicine, they want to cry foul. Grow up, already.
