The French government has apprehended 11 Somali pirates, in an effort to crack down on piracy in the region. Somali pirates nabbed another American cargo ship, openly taunting and defying the U.S. government, that recently freed kidnapped captain, Richard Phillips.
The Somali pirates vowed revenge and have increased their seizing and stealing on the high seas. The situation is deteriorating, with government members contemplating sending troops in on land in Somalia.
