Former 'Bad Girls Club' Reality Star Shannade Clermont Pleads Guilty To Fraud And Is Facing 20-Years In Federal Prison

24-year-old Shannade Cleremont has pleaded guilty to wire fraud. Cleremont prostituted herself to a man in New York who died of a drug overdose during their evening together. Cleremont took the dead man’s debit card and racked up $20,000 in charges. She used his card details online to buy clothes, airline tickets and to pay her utilities and rent. U.S. Attorney Geoffrey S. Berman stated, “She has now pled guilty to fraud and faces time in federal prison. This case demonstrates that in reality, those who commit debit card fraud will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Do not let appearances online deceive you. Many people are living pay check to paycheck and cannot afford the trappings of fame. A number of celebrities can’t even afford the trappings of fame. It is an unrealistic standard for the public to aspire to in their daily lives. Be happy and thankful for what you have and continue to earn a honest day’s wage, no matter the figure. At least you know you honestly earned that money. There is no shame in that. The only shame is stealing from others.

According to the U.S. attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York, Shannade Clermont pleaded guilty to the charge for making and attempting more than $20,000 in fraudulent charges using the stolen debit card information of “a deceased man she had visited for a prostitution date.”...
