Florida Female Republicans Boycotting Oprah …Over Refusing To Interview Sarah Palin September 9. 2008
Oprah Winfrey’s choice of blacklisting Republican candidate John McCain’s running mate, Sarah Palin, has drawn the ire of The Florida Federation of Republican Women. They are now calling for a boycott of The Oprah Winfrey show. However, it is Winfrey’s personal choice, as to whom she has on her show. She is standing up for what she believes, much like The Florida Federation of Republican Women are doing the same, in saying no to her show for blacklisting their candidate.
Personally, I think it would have been an
interesting interview to watch the two of them I would have interviewed every single candidate and running mate, asked them concise questions that left no room to move on who they are and what they stand for. As an interviewer, you owe it to the public.
Obama to Oprah: You go girl! Not interviewing Palin isn’t going to accomplish much, as many people know of her and are asking questions about the newcomer. She won’t be hurting for publicity. It would also help your show’s ratings. If you don’t agree with those you interview, just say it on the show while you speak to them, but blanking people is not the best course of action. GOP women saying no to ‘O’ Florida’s Republican women are ticked off, and they’re taking on TV’s most popular personality. The Florida Federation of Republican Women are calling for a boycott of Oprah Winfrey’s afternoon talk show in retaliation for Oprah’s refusal to have VP candidate Sarah Palin on her high-profile program during the election. |
