An explosion rocked Beirut, Lebanon yesterday and
was felt as far as Cyprus. Video emerged and began trending on
social networking of the massive explosion. Some attributed it to a
missile, while others stated it looked like a bomb had exploded.
Reports coming out of Lebanon state over 135 people
died in the blast and 5,000 are injured. Search and rescue
operations continue in Beirut with the hope of finding survivors.
Videos and photos of the city reveal extensive structural damage. It
is vital authorities check for structural damage in the actual area
and for miles around to prevent further injury or loss of life. My
condolences to the people of Lebanon.
