Disney To Remake The Movie 'Home Alone' But Is
It A Good IdeaJanuary 1. 2020
"Home Alone"
Disney announced they are remaking the classic film
“Home Alone.” Over the past decade, Hollywood has been making a
number of disastrous reboots of film and television classics. 90% of
these projects have failed at the box office and or in television
ratings. However, Hollywood has run out of ideas and lacks the real
creative talent that was present in the industry decades ago.
Considering “Home Alone” and Home Alone: Lost In New
York” were basically made by the same team of actors and crew, and
became quite successful, yet “Home Alone 3” and Home Alone 4”
produced by others completely flopped, this is not good news.
Home Alone 2
Why touch a classic. It’s clear they could not
improve upon the original vision of the first two films. Therefore,
why ruin a classic even further in attempting a full feature film
for wide release. However, this has become Hollywood today. They are
run by a cult and don’t know how to make good movies or music any
more. Hence all the flops on radio, TV and in theatres.
This week I watched the 1990 film “Bird On A Wire”
starring Mel Gibson and Goldie Hawn. I was impressed at how the
romantic comedy was engaging, had a good storyline and believable
acting. Many of the films coming out of Hollywood for the past
15-years have been weird with strange themes and lacked creativity.
However, this is what happens when organized crime and the inmates
run the asylum.
