People are commenting on social networking that "The Little Mermaid" reboot has failed at the box office. Some are also commenting that the film has received very poor sales in Asia and are blaming it on racism. This is inaccurate, as films by African-Americans Eddie Murphy, Will Smith, Samuel L. Jackson and Kevin Hart, among others, have done very well in indigenously non-black regions such as Asia and Europe. In this case I think the movie is the problem.

Some are blaming the poor box office numbers of "The Little Mermaid" on the race of the lead actress. The movie stars African-American actress/singer, Halle Bailey. In my opinion she wasn't right for the role and not because she is black. There are other young black actresses who could have done justice to the role. Hailey lacks confidence regarding her acting and looked unpolished and unkempt in the role. Bailey looks better on the red carpet.

"The Little Mermaid" also stars actress, Melissa McCarthy, and actor Jonah Hauer-King, who are white. In my professional opinion none of them (Bailey, McCarthy or Hauer-King) were right for the roles in the film. They just don't click on camera. They have no onscreen chemistry together. They are boring together. McCarthy's role would have also been more suited to actress Angelina Jolie.

Bailey is actually a singer. Bailey is a better singer than actress. She gets these roles, such as the lead in the "Color Purple" reboot, which is also being panned by critics and special networking, because of being signed to the fake Parkwood label of singer and Hollywood cultist/satanist Beyonce.

The "Color Purple" reboot starring Hailey is not looking good either. Maybe Hollywood should have left the award winning film alone, because the current generation of creatives are satanists and they can't do anything right, as they are brainless cultists selected for their ability to do very unethical things.

This is what happens when you give people work in Hollywood because they are in a cult. You lose money in sales (billions) as you've given jobs to people who are not the most qualified. Hollywood used to make great films. However, the past 20-years of deranged, satanic cultists led by untalented, ugly madwoman Madonna, is destroying the industry in America.

To make some quick, illegal money up front via letting a thieving, psychotic madwoman take over Hollywood, they are now losing a fortune in the long-term, and the industry itself in what is to come (no, that's not a threat, but disaster and calamity are on the way due to the appallingly sick things those satanic pedophiles and murderers are doing in Hollywood).
