“Star Wars” actress, Carrie Fisher died of a heart attack on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, after a week on life support. She was age 60. Fisher fell unconscious and stopped breathing during a flight to Los Angeles, where she resides. One day later on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, Fisher’s mother, actress Debbie Reynolds, famous for many films such as “Singing In The Rain” died of a stroke while planning her daughter’s funeral. She was 84.

It was a terrible blow for an elderly woman to take in what is a tragic story. She was devastated and heartbroken. The family is mulling a double funeral in Los Angeles. Fisher leaves behind a daughter and Reynolds a son. Fisher's death was accelerated by years of drug and alcohol abuse, as it wreaks havoc on the organs and arteries, leading to heart attacks. Fisher also struggled with mental illness, in a topic she was very open about during interviews.

 Reynolds was the Jennifer Aniston of her day, after her husband, Eddie Fisher, began an extramarital affair with actress, Liz Taylor. The two later got married, much like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Fisher and Taylor’s ungodly union also ended in shambles, much like Pitt and Jolie.
