Wounded U.S. Congresswoman, Gabrielle Giffords, is steadily making progress, after being gunned down in Tucson, by mentally disturbed assailant, Jared Lee Loughner. This week, her friend and fellow congresswoman, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, spoke of Giffords opening her eyes for the first time, after being shot in the head by anti-Semitic, Hitler supporting, Loughner.  

Wasserman Schultz stated, she told Giffords to open her eyes and she tried to, but did not at first. Then, she started encouraging her more, telling her they would go out for pizza and lo and behold, Giffords opened her eyes. When I read that bit about the congresswoman (food), I  remembered the television show "The Nanny" and jokingly thought to myself about Giffords, "Yep, she's Jewish" (smile).

I also remembered music producer, Scott Storch, who gave his production company the name "Tuff Jew" - but considering Giffords took a bullet to the head and kept ticking, I think she earned that title. May she recover and find her stride again.
