The competition between singers Chris Brown and Bruno mars is going full swing. Brown has slammed people on social networking for stating Mars is the better recording artist. Mars made his debut after Brown, but has since outsold him in the area of music sales and concert tickets. Mars has also won more awards, such as Grammys.

This ignited a war of words online between music listeners and Brown got wind of it. Brown is not amused by the comparisons and deems himself the better entertainer. In an attempt to quiet social networking users who state Mars is better, Brown posted an item regarding his current album "Heartbreak On A Full Moon" going platinum. However, the majority of the "sales" for the album are from music streaming  which is an unreliable way to gauge sales as no copies are actually sold. 

Chris Brown posted an album certification on his Twitter page. However "Heartbreak On A Full Moon" sold poorly for a major label recording artist (80,000) after nearly 4-months of release. Most of its platinum sales came from streaming, which does not make much money. This indicates far more people listened to the album but did not buy it.

It's obvious to everyone at this point that Brown's career has been hampered by the domestic violence criminal case, regarding ex-girlfriend Rihanna, who spat on and hit him, then he reacted by beating her badly. Brown's career has also been damaged by claims he beat ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, which came to light after she filed for a restraining order against him, in the face of death threats.
