China Inflation Decreases May 11. 2009 China President Hu Jintao Inflation in China fell for the third straight month in April 2009, due to their bids at shoring up their economy during the global downturn that began in America. They have made progress in this endeavor. The United States risks a greater case of inflation, due to planned spending in the sum of $3.6 trillion dollars, which needs to be significantly reined in, if the nation is to avoid that scenario.

ET - SHANGHAI -- China's inflation rate fell for the third month in a row in April as prices for foods and energy plunged from high levels the year before. The consumer price index, which is heavily weighted toward food items, fell 1.5% in April, the National Statistics Bureau reported Monday. That compared with a 1.2% decline in March. Food prices fell 1.3 percent, with prices for meat falling 13.5 percent, the bureau said in a statement on its Web site.
