Cheney Encouraging Military Action On Iran

Here we go again. Hide the oil fields.

July 18. 2007

The army is currently engaging in war in Afghanistan and Iraq, now Cheney wants to add Iran, one of the world’s big oil producers. They want their oil too. There’s no question about it and the Prime Minister of Iran's destructive proclamations about engaging in nuclear enrichment, while uttering in the next breath that he wants to blow Israel off the map, is providing the perfect excuse.

Iran has 70,000,0000 people. They don’t need war. No one does. It is not necessary and is avoidable. No good will come from it.

The mere fact that Cheney is urging military action in Iran is firmly establishing a pattern of abusing smaller nations. It is clear as day that you don't value the lives of the people in the Middle East, civilian or otherwise.

For the sake of the civilians in Iran, there must be a better alternative than military action once again. People need to humble themselves and start talking to each other instead of looking to violence as the solution to every problem:

· President 'not prepared to leave conflict unresolved'

Monday July 16, 2007 - The balance in the internal White House debate over Iran has shifted back in favour of military action before President George Bush leaves office in 18 months, the Guardian has learned.

The shift follows an internal review involving the White House, the Pentagon and the state department over the last month. Although the Bush administration is in deep trouble over Iraq, it remains focused on Iran. A well-placed source in Washington said: "Bush is not going to leave office with Iran still in limbo."
