After a raft of stories surfaced in the press regarding Britney Spears’ poor treatment of her two children, an investigation has been opened into her conduct.

Here’s hoping no one gets bought off and the court acts in the best interest of the children. Britney is definitely one of the worst celebrity mothers in the world. Those kids didn’t ask for that. Some intervention is clearly needed for the children’s sake.

Side bar: while running from one of Kevin Federline’s process servers, a friend of Britney’s met in an accident. All that just to dodge court. It speaks volumes. If the truth came out in court, any fair minded person would see that her kids are in need of assistance from more capable people.

I don't care how much you scream you're a good mother. The proof is in the pudding via your conduct.

Britney Spears probed for child abuse

…US reports said the LA County Department of Children and Family Services was conducting an active investigation and the matter was deemed to take precedence in the couple's ongoing custody battle - with all other issues put on hold.

Los Angeles criminal defence attorney Steve Cron said if the county felt the children were at risk, they would begin an investigation.

The judge would then decide if the county needed to step in, possibly taking over custody over the kids.

Britney Spears' friend in 'hit and run'

Tuesday, August 28 2007, 12:27 BST - A friend of Britney Spears has been involved in a 'hit and run' car accident, when he was allegedly trying to avoid Kevin Federline's lawyers handing him a subpoena.

The friend, who has been named only as Sam, turned up at his house in Venice Beach in California last night, but saw that Federline's legal team were waiting to hand over legal papers.

A source told Perez Hilton: "He drove into Aaron’s car and sped off. He didn’t even obey the nearby stop sign”. Police then reportedly arrived on the scene to investigate the alleged hit and run.

The papers are being handed out to call people close to Britney to court to give evidence during the custody battle for sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.
