Bill Joel's Daughter In Hospital After Suicide Attempt

Based on published reports, Alexa Joel, daughter of Sony Music artist, Billy Joel and supermodel Christie Brinkley, is in St. Vincent's hospital in New York, after overdosing on sleeping pills. Someone called 911 and she was rushed to the hospital, after reporting she was unable to breathe.

Ironically and sadly, the struggling singer, followed in her dad's footsteps, as he too battled depression years ago and unadvisedly drank furniture polish, in trying to take his life.

It is good that neither succeeded in these suicide attempts, as they both have much to live for. May Jesus be with Alexa as she recovers from this ordeal.

In August she complained about relationship trouble on her MySpace blog:

I don't like dating!!! Wish I could be in a relationship again without having to date... I HATE going out!! I'm a homebody and a workaholic... I don't like going out and drinking to meet men!!! I always have to drag myself out the door to get up the motivation to go out, and when I do go out, I don't meet anybody!!!

Is anybody else finding it a difficult "dating world" out there? I'm so terrible at dating-- I don't know if I'll ever get used to it! And I HATE the game-playing! Can't stand it.
