Bill Clinton Warns Obama Off Bashing Mitt Romney For Being A Successful Businessman June 4. 2012
Barack Obama Former U.S. President Bill Clinton has warned fellow Democrat, President Barack Obama, it is not a good idea bashing election rival, Mitt Romney, for being a successful businessman, as it sends the wrong message to the public, especially aspiring entrepreneurs.
Mitt Romney This is the same message the Judiciary Report has published for the past month as well, stating President Obama should not slam Romney for legitimately succeeding in the business world. He is not Bernard Madoff or R. Allen Sanford. Government should not punish success, as there is nothing wrong with doing well. Greed and thievery are wrong, but not good old fashioned hard work that leads to prosperity.
At a time when the U.S. economy is seriously struggling, President Obama and all in his administration should want as many successful businesspeople as possible, willing to work, create jobs and honestly earn a living. Free enterprise within the scope of the law is a good thing. Not something to be bashed and criticized. STORY SOURCE Bill Clinton: Mitt Romney's business record 'sterling' 5/31/12 10:50 PM EDT - President Bill Clinton veered sharply off message Thursday, telling CNN that Mitt Romney's business record at Bain Capital was "sterling." "I don't think that we ought to get into the position where we say 'This is bad work. This is good work,'" Clinton said. "The man who has been governor and had a sterling business career crosses the qualification threshold." Clinton also went on to say that Romney's time at Bain Capital represented a "good business career."
