A tweet from the Independent newspaper in London, regarding
the murder of Beyonce's cousin, rapper Kardone
Martell DeRouen, also known as fledgling rapper
Kardone, has been shot and killed in his apartment. He is the cousin
of singer Beyonce. Kardone was murdered in their home state of
Texas. The murder occurred in San Antonio, where he was trying to
establish a music career over the past few years. Police discovered
Kardone dead this week after conducting a welfare check at the
request of an unnamed person.
Suspected in Kardone's killing is 21-year-old Sasha
Skare, whom the rapper worked with on a music single released last
year (how ironic, Beyonce calls herself Sasha Fierce). In 2019,
Skare was criminally charged in court in connection with the murder
of her boyfriend, who was also shot to death.
The main suspect in the case is Sasha Skare
Kardone's wife is imploring the public to contact
police with any information they have about the murder and Skare's
location. Kardone's wife, Joia DeRouen, issued a statement which
read, "There is no way to replace him but please help us find this
girl. She is dangerous and I do believe she will kill again. If you
see her please contact the police."
As the murders occurred in Texas, if convicted of
the crimes, Skare would be eligible for the death penalty. The mere
fact she is mentioned in connection with a second murder does not
bode well for her in the first case or the second one for that
matter.

It has now been confirmed that a Texas rapper – identified in
local media as a family member of singer Beyoncé – was found fatally
shot in his apartment this week.
According to the San Antonio Express-News, Tuesday,
authorities discovered the body of Martell DeRouen while conducting
a welfare check. The request for a police checkup on Derouen, who
performed under the name Kardone, was made by an unnamed person who
hadn’t heard from him for several days.
Police have now issued a warrant for the arrest of
Sasha Skare, who was confirmed as a murder suspect, according to
local TV station KSAT. It is worth noting that this is not the
21-year-old’s first run-in with the law. Back in 2019, she was also
charged with an assault linked to the shooting death of her
boyfriend.
The San Antonio-based musician was widely known in
his area as Beyoncé’s cousin through her maternal grandmother Agnéz
Deréon, who Tina Knowles’ fashion line House of Deréon was named
after. His Spotify bio reads, “in the last few years, he’s changed
