Barack Obama U.S. President Barack Obama has a new battle on his hands. Fresh off the fiscal cliff fight, the new battle concerns the debt ceiling. America is eyeball deep in debt, with select members of Congress fighting to keep the people's purse strings closed, due to mounting debt in the trillions. However, President Obama contends, America is not a "deadbeat" nations and pays its bills and in order to do so, the debt ceiling needs to be raised.
