23-year-old American Airman, Spencer Stone, has been upgraded
from critical to stable condition, after being stabbed in the
chest on a Sacramento, California street. Stone was rushing to
the aid of a friend who was being attacked by three males, when
he was repeatedly stabbed in the chest. The UC Davis Medical
Center in California released a statement on Stone's current
condition revealing, "He is awake, able to get out of bed and in
good spirits. He is continuing to recover. Airman Stone's family
appreciates the outpouring of support."
Police in California have expressed they are not of the
belief the stabbing incident that occurred in Sacramento is
connected to terrorism. They are currently looking for the two
men who stabbed Stone. Police revealed, "The assault does not
appear to be a random act. It is believed to be related to a
nightclub incident." In August, Stone was among four men awarded
the the French Legion d’Honneur for helping to subdue terrorist, Ayoub El Khazzani,
