Alexis Skyy Mocked For Having Medicaid And Rapper Fetty Wap Denied Their Child

Alexis Skyy was recently mocked on the reality show “Love and Hip Hop New York” for using Medicaid, which is the free healthcare program in America, given to people who meet the low income requirement or are mentally and or physically disabled. It doesn’t mean the person is broke. It means their financial circumstances or disability qualifies them for it.

As it turns out, Alexis’ 2-year-old daughter Alaiya is disabled. She was born with hydrocephalus, much like rapper Flo Rida’s son. Alexis’ daughter was fathered by rapper Fetty Wap. Alaiya’s disability requires expensive care, including surgical procedures to drain fluid from her brain.

Over 2-years ago I wrote about Fetty Wap and women who were rushing to have his baby, trying to trap him, due to his fame and money he started to make at the time. I warned his fame would fade and they’d be faced with raising babies on their own, which is not cheap:

"The moral of the story is don’t trap a man with an unplanned pregnancy. It will not make him love you or stay. You do yourself and your child no favors in doing so. The child ends up paying the most in the long run, via an absentee father and you, a bitter mother, badmouthing the child’s dad. Fast-forward 2 ½ years and Fetty Wap’s career has faded and so have his finances. Fetty has children by different women. However, since his career has faded, he cannot afford to take care of them all. To make matters worse, Fetty gave the appearance he was avoiding claiming Alaiya. Considering she is disabled, that was very poor form from him. After people online, including me, shamed him over the matter, he finally claimed Alaiya.

He avoided spending time with his daughter by former “Love And Hip Hop Hollywood” reality star, Masika, who went to the press and slammed him. Now he’s avoiding spending time with his daughter by Alexis. A lot of his money is gone as well. That’s not what these women wanted.

Women need to choose carefully. First of all, have something going for yourself. Don’t depend on a man. Secondly, choose a man who is kind and stable. Choose someone who would make a good father. The bad boys messing around with everyone do not make the best fathers. If he is out there partying all the time, constantly acting wild with his friends, he’s not going to make time for your child.

Look at couples like Denzel Washington and Pauletta, Grant Hill and Tamia, Steph Curry and Ayesha, Lebron James and Savannah. There was no trapping anyone with a baby. It was people in love, on the same page. There was no one dragging anyone down the aisle kicking and screaming. People need to work on being in love and having a genuine love for each other. The scheming and plotting does not work. It ruins lives.
